There are numerous volunteer opportunities both within our church as well as right here in Loudoun County.
TWO HOUR MISSION OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY IN LEESBURG
Do you have just two hours to spare on occasional Sunday afternoons, from 2:30 - 4:30? One time only or help as often as you like. Volunteers with the Grace-to-Go Feeding Ministry, organized by St. James Episcopal Church, cook a simple meal at the Deli South restaurant in Leesburg and then package the meals for distribution on Monday. LPC participants have found it to be a very simple way to help provide a healthy meal to the working poor and others in need within our community. LPC has committed to preparing the meal on the first Sunday of every other Month. If you feel called to care for God's people in this way, sign up at www.stjamesleesburg.org.
The Mission & Witness Committee would like to encourage all members to volunteer in the community using their God-given skills and talents to help others outside of our church. Please consider this as only a guide to begin volunteering. The Loudoun County Office of Volunteer Services (703-777-0113) can provide a more complete and always current list of volunteer opportunities and can answer questions that you may have about individual organizations..
Please contact Kathi Stone (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any suggestions regarding new volunteer opportunities. We would love to hear from you about the work you may be doing in the community.
